It shows the hysteria around the witchcraft trials and the effect is has on Salem which is still apparent today. A wonderful book and a great read.”-Cathleen Ross, Harlequin Romance Writer *** “Being both a history buff and serious lover of all things time-travel, I really loved this book. The blending of Lily’s historical studies and Gabriel’s arrival from that era made for a perfect match. The disagreements between the Snow’s and the Blackstone’s added spice to the storyline. The characters were realistic and the descriptions of Salem in both time periods were very clear. I look forward to the continuing adventures of these characters.”-Book Vamps Top Pick of the month. ***2011 Forward National Award Winner 2nd place ***All Romance E-books Top Pick Ribbon Award.

Salem Moon Scarlet Black 9781937085223 Books Reviews
This was a book that caught me in its web from the first page. The author mixed so many genres and made it work well. Salem Massachusetts history is the setting, past and present.
The characters are believable and you just want to hug Gabriel.
This book is a page turner!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. There were a few places that the subject "jumped" without any explanation that left me wondering "what happened." The storyline is good and I have already downloaded the second book to my . I can't wait to find out what is going to happen to Gabriel and Lily back in 1692.
This was a great story to read. Other than a few typos that were easily spotted, it was a great intertwine of the past and present of love and the ability to be true to oneself. I'll be reading the next book for sure and add Scarlet Black to my favorite authors list.
Loved this book! Gabriel and Lily were born 300 years apart, but when he is tried and being tortured for witchcraft in 1692 a man rescues him. Unknown to Gabriel, Lucien is an evil Fallen Angel who wants his soul. And he wants Lily. Lily is a historian who works at the Salem Witch Museaum and her family and Gabrie's have hated each other for centuries because it was her family who pointed the finger of blame at Gabriel and his sister as witches. When they meet, it's destiny. They fall in love despite all odds. The story is an awesome romance, full of facts I didn't know about Salem. Ms. Black obviously did her research! I've already downloaded book 2, The Fallen and the Pure!
I really like the story line and the details in this book, the characters as so well written, only aortic dint like is to have to read another book to see what goes on with them... LOL I want to know now, oh well, I'm sure I'll enjoy the next as I did this one.
Loved this book! Having been to Salem MA many many times I loved the history in the book- the different places I have been to portrayed -- the characters are well written the story even with its time travel aspects enjoyable. there ARE some adult themes in this book. I would not suggest this book for younger or even teen readers. Also, there are/were some spelling errors. I for one was not bothered by it as I was enjoying the story too much to care about it. I would suggest an update by the author-- as I know some reader friends of mine will not read further or finish a book with errors. They would miss out on the book--- I can not wait to read the second book!
This is a fun, fast read I would recommend to anyone who likes a little more than just romance in their well, romance. I read this book when the author was featured author in one of my Goodreads book groups. Her book sounded like a romance which isn't normally my thing- as a genre but of course I like a little romantic storyline. Then, I started reading and saw that it was centered around the Salem witch trials of 1692. One of my favorite times in history not because it was nifty, but from a psychological level this is a strange phenomenon we thankfully don't see often. Anyway, the book jumps time and up we come to Salem in the present and we get to follow a very original storyline and some very likeable characters.
There were some editing issues but nothing that was too distracting. I really enjoyed this book- I read it in one sitting. Oh, and there will be a follow up that is definitely on my radar.
