Very good book by Patty Tomsky. I found it to be practical and enjoyed the fact that it was written in a conversational style. Liked the way she incorporated the SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats) tool, something we often use with our clients and in our own business.
Good starter book for those who want to be better sales people. Has some great insights into how to be more effective in building rapport with customers.
Great book! Very easy to read and extremely informative.
The title of this book suggests it would only appeal to those who make their living through sales. But in all honesty, I believe any person in any job could learn a great deal from How to Sell. After all, no matter what our job is, we are basically selling ourselves -- our work ethic, our beliefs, our values, etc.

While the book is packed full of valuable information such as finding and taking advantage of opportunities, its opening pages hold the key to any successful career -- believe in yourself! The author does an excellent job in demonstrating how to do this and why it is so important.
Sales jobs are NOT just for men! I absolutely LOVED this book! I spent 7 years in the sales field, and I can relate to everything she’s said in this book. And the way she lets you know you have to build a rapport with a customer, and not push them into something is #1 thing with sales that you don’t want to get buyers remorse. Whether you are an introvert, or extrovert, anyone can become a great sales person, and make a darn good living doing so. And the most important goal is to be yourself, and trust your instinct. There are several wonderful points, tips, and trick to help you on your way if this is what you are needing. Glad I got to read this.
I found this book really helpful to me. I really like how the author broke down the different areas to focus on in order to draw a person into the sale. Attitude is key to how you approach someone and how you make them feel.

I truly recommend this book to anyone who is looking to start, build, or improve their business approach.
